Yacht Rendezvous at Rybovich Marina in Palm Beach is an extraordinary yachting experience at one of the world's most renowned cruising destinations.

The Yacht Hop is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some of the world's most luxurious yachts.Invited guests enjoy four days and nights of festivities that range from cocktail parties, yacht hops, fashion shows, costume party and much more!

Each annual Rendezvous celebrates a different theme, yet the goal remains the same: to have a great time while making a difference in the South Florida community by generating financial support for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.

Rendezvous History: Take a few minutes to enjoy some highlights from the past.


2006 | 13 Clubs | 12,000 children served

The 19th Annual Rendezvous began with the official ribbon cutting of the Admirals Boys & Girls Clubs Marine Academy on the Douglas & Linda Von Allmen campus. The 157’ Lady Linda was christened with an incredible fireworks show immediately following Linda Von Allmen smashing her champagne bottle. The incredible MY Floridian was a popular yacht during the yacht hop. Cartier teased our guests with their incredible diamond creations during an Admirals Club reception. The Luxe Collection attracted guests to “shop” with our wonderful sponsors. Disco dressed guests boogied with KC & The Sunshine Band. Wayne & Marti Huizenga were inducted into the Dream Makers Society on Saturday evening for their generosity to the Boys & Girls Clubs. Steve Hudson heads to the Robb Report’s Car of the Year event. We welcomed many new Admiral Club Members including Emily & Bob Bennett, Sharon & Lou Cyktor, Milton Ferrell Jr. , Leslie & Tom Murphy, Michelle & Tom Murphy, Ralph Navarro, Sion & Robert Pereria, Winnie & Wes Pritchett, Ana & Sean Wolfington, Rebecca & Jamie McDonnell IV, Kimberly & Joe Moore. The 19th Anniversary ShowBoats International Rendezvous is deemed a success.

2005 | 12 Clubs | 12,000 children served

Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma affected many guests and their homes, yachts and businesses. However, the Rendezvous went on as planned despite fewer guests and yachts. Sultans, Shieks, and Genies invaded Fisher Island. The Golf Cart decorating contest brought out the creativity in everyone, some even included skits. Jim Belushi had the crowd dancing on their feet. Paul Sorvino auctioned off one of his sculptures. Joe Piscopo serenaded us. Evander Holyfield showed what a true champion he is as he shared the positive effects of the Boys & Girls Clubs in his life. Even with nature’s diasters, the generousity was overwhelming making this year’s Rendezvous the most successful ever. Certainly a miraculous event!

2004 | 12 clubs | 12,000 children served

Yachts were corralled on Fisher Island to celebrate the spirit of the wild, wild, west. Under the new co-chairman team of Dan Barnett and Mike Busacca, the Rendezvous roundup was packed with country-themed activity. The Yacht Hop docks were overflowing as the weekend's revelries were a clear signal that the Rendezvous was going to be a blast. Ladies shuttled to the ritzy Bal Harbour shoppes for a dose of high fashion before gussying up for a night at the OK Corral. Rising country star Amber Leigh tore up the stage and wrangled up a heel kickin' herd of dancers. Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Bruce Rossmeyer were watching the cowgirls as "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" on stage. The rhinestone cowboys were bidding fast and furious at the Formal Gala's Live Auction. Several wannabe movie stars launched a bidding frenzy for a walk-on part in the film "10" - with visions of Dudley Moore jogging down the beach to impress a cornrowed Bo Derek in the late 70s. When the tallies were in, it was inevitable: once again the Rendezvous proves to be the single most successful event for the Boys & Girls Clubs. Whew!

2003 | 12 clubs |11,847 children served

"Island Madness" hit Fisher Island as guests were shipwrecked for four days of pirate-themed festivities. The Boys & Girls Clubs members, dressed as pirates, welcomed everyone on board during one of our largest yacht hops yet. Grey Goose martinis kept crowd in high spirits. The golf cart decorating parade brought out the creativity of all of the guests and crews. Friday night, the Bahamian Junkanoo created a frenzy, causing everyone to jump up and dance to the beat. Jason Williams kept the party going with his enthusiastic performance. On Saturday night formally attire was stunning as guests bid on exciting items - Rita Case headed to Paris for Chanel's fashion show and the Murphys were off to the races. Gene Reed and Bruce Rossmeyer were inducted into the Admirals Club. Little Richard showed that age is not a factor in his high-energy show, bringing people up on stage to dance as he sang "Good Golly Miss Molly." Rendezvous continues to be the most successful event for the Boys & Girls Clubs.

2002 | 12 clubs | 11,879 children served

The Yacht Hop proves to be a major success with Rendezvous guests and Fisher Island residents. Guests donned their Mardi Gras attire dripping with beads as they paraded their decorated golf cars to the Masquerade Ball. The carnival was a blast for all - even though it was a mad dash indoors when the rain started. Many guests got damp as they entered the Southern Ball but the torrential downpour couldn't stop the bidding wars. The Taylors like their TV shows. Micheal Bolton, who of course impressed the crowd with a couple of songs, loves his new Honda motorcycle. Joe Piscopo calls for help on stage during his number. Felix Sabates, Mike Busacca and Jim Mattei jump at the opportunity to perform.

2001 | 12 clubs | 12,126 children served

Seahawke and Aria are officially christened. Dressed in their best disco gear, everyone boogied to the hits of KC & The Sunshine Band. Carnival goers are awed by the voice of 10-year-old Lateefah Dooling as she belts out the national anthem. Guests are dressed in their best for the Black & White Ball. Admirals Club welcomed Rick & Rita Case and Terry & Cindy Taylor. NASCAR superstar Rusty Wallace races on stage to auction off two of his racing suits. Martin Katz dazzled us with his jewels, reminding everyone that diamonds really are a girls's best friend.

2000 | 12 clubs | 11,755 children served

An evening Yacht Hop sets the festive party mood of the weekend. Austin Powers and Felicity Shagwell, Lucy and Desi and Sonny and Cher are joined by actor Alan Thicke at the Famous Couples theme party. Club Tangier offers generous nightcaps for after hours partiers. Grammy-award winning artist Michael Bolton performs for the guests. Larry DeGeorge announces the Boys & Girls Clubs Marine Academy. Jim Belushi & the Sacred Heart Band rock the room and bring everyone to their feet...and on stage! New members are welcomed to the Admirals Club including Al Rapetti, Mike and Arlette Baker, Cortie and Janice Wetherill, Time and Tristina Elmes, Peter and Traci DeGeorge...Atlantica is officially christened and later "unofficially" transformed into a Karaoke stage as guests witness Michael Bolton and Jim Belushi in an impromptu sing-off!

1999 | 11 clubs | 10,612 children served

Island attired guests are taken to a Polynesian island. Guests celebrate the christening of the new Lady Florence. Jay Leno is awed by the showcase of megayachts. Wayne and Marti Huizenga welcomes the Sabates into the Dream Makers Society. John Porter and Chairman Larry DeGeorge announce a remarkable Million Dollar Challenge inspiring a match with 5-year pledges by Jim Mattei, Larry F. DeGeorge, and Suzanne Neidland, Felix and Carolyn Sabates, and Admirals Club donations by Robert Tomsich, Bill and Betty Jane France and Doug and Linda Von Allman. Paul Castronovo emcees the weekend joined by Burt Reynolds, Enrico Colantino and super model Kim Alexis. Gloria Gaynor brings everyone to the dance floor performing "I Will Survive." History is made proclaiming the most successful fundraising for the Boys & Girls clubs in all of America.

1998 | 11 clubs | 10,549 children served

Fisher Island welcomes back the Rendezvous. Pajama-clad partiers kick off the first night's party. The new Florence A. DeGeorge Club is announced. The 50s Swing Party and the Yacht Hop welcome guest to "hop" in a spectacular collection of megayachts. Robert Tomsich is inducted into the Admirals Club launching wild bidding at the Live Auction. Felix Sabates welcomes three new Admirals Club contributions by Botts, Meyers and Porters topping of a "magical" entertainment revue from Las Vegas.

1997 | 10 clubs | 10,012 children served

The Rendezvous returns to Cat Cay to celebrate the 10th anniversary. Weather attempts to interfere but does not stop the DeGeorges from again kicking off the weekend. The marina is filled. Felix & Carolyn Sabates co-chair the event. Robert Tomsich "faxes" his Admirals Club contribution. Bahamian Junkanoo topped with a tremendous fireworks displayed under a full moon creates one of the most dramatic finale parties ever.

1996 | 10 clubs | 9,130 children served

The event is sold out. The DeGeorges kick off the weekend in grand style to the excitement of toga-costumed guests. Oprah Winfrey shares inspiring words and Jim Mattei is inducted into the Admirals Club. New chairman Claudette Bonville brings her style and enthusiasm to the event.

1995 | 10 clubs | 7,655 children served

The "Fonz" (aka Henry Winkler) gives thumbs up as the DeGeorges kick off the weekend with a major contribution. NASCAR driver Kyle Petty leads a parade of guest on motorcycles to the stage to announce the Bikers Ball; Bob Levine places a record-breaking bid in the history of the organization; Fisher Island is transformed into the Old West for a private performance by headliners Tanya Tucker, Johnny Paychek and Garry Morris.

1994 | 9 clubs | 5,544 children served

The event attracts yacht owners from all over the country. Felix and Carolyn Sabates roar into the arena in their 1950 Red Cadillac convertible donated for auction. Bob Levine goes on a mega-philanthropic buying spree, donating most of his purchases back to the charity. The Rendezvous is deemed the grandest yachting celebration in the world.

1993 | 5 clubs | 7,646 children served

Generosity abounds more than ever. Arnold Schwarzenegger starts a bid war for an autographed litho of Mohammed Ali and a race uniform worn by Alan Kulwicki goes to the Henkes. Secret passions are roused as an ensemble of classic Harley Davidsons are showcased by many guests.

1992 | 5 clubs | 4,101 children served

Fisher Island seems to blossom with beauty and splendor amidst the ravages of Hurricane Andrew. Guests clad in their favorite 50s outfits do the Hop to old-time favorites and the Wacky Olympics induce a new competitiveness.

1991 | 4 clubs | 3,576 children served

The Rendezvous moves to Fisher Island. By now the event has become the worlds' largest gathering of yachts for a charitable purpose. New chairman Gary Rotella brings his unique flair to the event.

1990 | 4 clubs | 3,582 children served

Guests come by yacht, helicopter and plane braving high seas and foul weather to party and play. Chefs are imported from Fisher Island to cater the event. Academy Award winner Cliff Robertson and noted lawyer F. Lee Bailey join in the fun.
